Full-Time Instructional Facilitator - Secondary (1-Position)

Overview:
**THIS POSITION IS EFFECTIVE FOR THE 2018/2019 SCHOOL YEAR**

**ALL EMPLOYEES WILL BE REQUIRED TO RESIDE IN LARAMIE COUNTY AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**

Full-Time, 185 Day Contract
Monday - Friday
Minimum Base Salary: $48,195.00 + Benefits

Position Summary: The job of Instructional Facilitator is done for the purpose/s of collaborating with teachers to improve instruction and student achievement; increasing student success in academics by providing technical assistance in the implementation of assessment data; providing support and monitoring of standards; developing collaborative model lesson plans; modeling successful teaching strategies; providing feedback to students, staff and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals; working with teachers in increasing technology integration that is embedded in instruction; collaborating with instruction staff utilizing the Professional Learning Community process; instructing, mentoring, and coaching teachers on Best Practices of selected curriculum; and providing staff development on district initiatives.

This job reports to Administrative Supervisor &/or the Building Principal.

Essential Functions:
Acts as a liaison between teachers and administrators for the purpose of coordinating curriculum, identifying issues and encouraging high student performance standards.

Analyzes assessment data from a variety of sources for the purpose of utilizing assessment data to drive instruction in meeting the needs of all students.

Attends meetings, workshops, professional activities, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information to develop or enhance skills.

Coaches mentors and models for the purpose of developing effective instructional leaders within the school.

Collaborates with a variety of groups and/or individuals (e.g. principals, teachers, curriculum leaders, etc.) for the purpose of improving the quality of student outcomes, developing solutions, and planning curriculum and school improvement.

Coordinates activities (e.g. training sessions, classes, workshops, meetings, etc.) for the purpose of providing information/support, ensuring availability of items and/or delivering services in conformance with established guidelines.

Demonstrates teaching techniques for the purpose of providing effective strategies to improve student success.

Demonstrates proficiency in district technology services for the purpose of increasing technology literacy and technology integration which are embedded in instruction for the teacher in the classroom.

Develops and implements staff training programs for the purpose of providing a variety of teaching strategies to enhance student success.

Facilitates school improvement activities with school administration, staff, etc. for the purpose of implementing successful school improvement programs.

Maintains files and/or records for the purpose of ensuring compliance with relevant regulations/guidelines.

Prepares a variety of materials (e.g. training materials, minutes, memos, pre/post conferences, activity logs, correspondence, etc.) for the purpose of providing written documentation, conveying information and/or complying with state guidelines.

Provides school-based curricular, instructional, and classroom-based assessment support for the purpose of resolving learning issues and/or implementing school improvement plans in conformance with established guidelines.

Researches a wide variety of topics (e.g. strategies, best practices, assessment practices, school restructuring, technology, etc.) for the purpose of keeping up with current trends, technology and tools related to educational improvement.

Researches Best Practices and becomes highly proficient in standards-based instruction implementation, including the integration of district technology services for the purpose of mentoring and coaching of teachers in order to increase student achievement.

Responds to inquiries (e.g. teachers, principals, administrators, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations.

Supports classroom teachers and other school personnel for the purpose of assisting them in the implementation of school improvement plans.

Trains teachers, administrators and para educators (e.g. best practices, learning strategies, school structure, North Central Association Accreditation process, etc.) for the purpose of improving student success.

Transports materials and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items as needed.

Utilizes the Professional Learning Community process of collaboration among a group of teachers for the purpose of improving student achievement.

Other Functions: Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Responsibility:
Responsibilities include: working independently under broad organizational guidelines to achieve unit objectives; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; utilization of some resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is a continual opportunity to have some impact on the organizationís services.

Work Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.

Experience: Job related experience is required.

Education: Masters degree in job-related area + 5 years of experience.

Certificates and Licenses: Appropriate Wyoming State Department of Education Certificate, endorsement and highly qualified status.

Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
