Indianapolis Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the following position(s):

CTE Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator

Location or Department: Career Technology Center

Additional Job Information:
This position will not be located at the Career Technology Center (726). This position will be part of the Career & Technical Education Department.

The CTE Curriculum and Instructional Coordinator will support the vision and day-to-day operations as directed by the CTE Director. This includes strategic planning, pathway curriculum development, teacher observations, pathway instructional support, closely work with Career Academy Coordinators on implementation, and participate on the hiring team for Career & Technical Education instructors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist CTE Director with district-wide strategic planning for Career and Technical Education
- Assist CTE teachers and Career Academy Coordinators with pathway curriculum development
- Review CTE pathway syllabi and provide feedback for improvement
- Assist teachers with researching and securing instructional support materials for their pathways
- Assist in monitoring instruction through walkthrough observations in CTE classrooms
- Assist CTE Director in assessing professional development needs of CTE teachers and staff
- Assist with planning and conducting professional development sessions for CTE teachers
- Conduct bi-weekly instructional support sessions with the Career Academy Coordinators
- Assist with promotion of College and Career Themed Academies and CTC option program
- Serve on the hiring team for Career and Technical Education Instructors
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the CTE Director

Supervisory Responsibilities; No direct supervision of other employees, but can serve as a second evaluator for CTE instructors.

Must hold a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university and hold or be eligible for an Indiana Administratorís license. Have a minimum of 3-5 years of successful classroom teaching experience and educational leadership. Prefer experience in Career and Technical Education. Must demonstrate an ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other professional staff members.

Language Ability:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to compose documents as required. Thorough knowledge of grammatical rules, spelling, punctuation and formats required.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and all other statistical measurement tools.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to utilize courtesy and tact when communicating with others to deliver clear and concise messages.
