Details: Valley View School District 365u is seeking applicants for the following positions: Autism Teacher The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Autism teaching position. JOB SUMMARY: The Autism teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instructional lessons that meet the needs of autistic students, creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques. Additional duties as may from time to time be assigned in accordance with provisions of the Board's policies and requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: Current Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License Current LBS1 Certificate or LBS1 Limited (LD/ED) Knowledge and experience with autistic learners Satisfactory special education teaching experience Expertise in Behavior Management strategies Ability to write and implement Individual Educational Plans (IEP’s) Excellent communication skills with students, teachers and parents Ability to work cooperatively with others
