Details: Hillsborough County School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: Social Worker Location: District Position Summary: The Secondary Teacher (grades 6-12) is responsible for the School Social Workers strengthen the district’s mission by providing services that enhance home, school, and community partnerships. The School Social Worker will address barriers that interfere with student performance and achievement by bringing stakeholders together while creating an environment that is conducive to effective problem-solving and learning. The School Social Worker will help students and families with learning, behavior, and/or attendance concerns. The School Social Worker will work independently under the supervision of site principals and the Supervisor of School Social Work Services. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: Florida Professional Educator Certificate or Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Certification as a school social worker may be earned in accordance with School Board Policy. Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in social work preferred. Field work placement in a school setting or related human service area (e.g., community mental health, social service agency, etc.) or school social work experience preferred.
