Summary This position is located at Defense Logistics Agency's Columbus, Ohio location with the Child and Youth Services Division. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees working at least 15 hours) Second and Subsequent Child: 50% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees working at least 15 hours) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid. Sign on bonus for this position: $1000.00 initial sign on. Sign on Bonuses Require the incumbent to complete their training. Once employed for 30 days, sign on bonuses are paid. Retention Bonus: $1500.00 Incumbent must be employed for 12 months. Retention bonuses are paid in quarterly increments following 12-month employment period. Requires successful completion of Virtual Lab School (VLS) training track (15 modules). Referral Bonus: $250 for existing employee that refers selectee - available to all employees once on board (up to $1000 annually). Major Duties: Supervises children and youth ranging in age from 6 weeks to 18 years during daily schedule of indoor and outdoor activities and on field trips, outings, and special events. Plans, coordinates, and conducts activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children and youth. Prepares and implements program options for children and youth with special requirements. Instructs team members in specific tasks and job techniques; makes available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies. Explains program guidance, procedures, policies, and directives to team members. Uses designated evaluation materials to ensure assigned area is in compliance with, Dept of Defense (DoD), and local installation standards. Ensures assigned area maintains standards for DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent. Completes training requirements using approved service materials to include designated training modules. Performs other related duties as assigned.
