Details: Fort Bend Independent School District is seeking qualified applicants for the following position: High School Head Choir Teacher School Year: 2025-2026 Location: High School Job Overview: The High School Head Choir Director will plan and implement an instructional program for the campus treble, tenor-bass and mixed choirs. The incumbent will coordinate, supervise, and manage all aspects of the campus choral program. The incumbent will fulfill professional responsibilities related to teaching high school choir courses and managing the instructional program. Overnight travel, as well as prolonged or irregular work hours, are required. Bachelor's degree in Music Education or Music Performance with an emphasis in vocal/choral music upon hire Master's degree preferred Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Education Agency appropriate to subject and grade level of assignment EC-12 Music upon hire Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience preferred Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to use social media effectively Demonstrated proficiency as a vocalist as well as the ability to play warm-ups and vocal parts in rehearsal Ability to interact appropriately with the public, District staff, and parents Ability to collaborate with colleagues on the campus and in the instructional feeder pattern Ability to market the instructional program
