THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TRAINING OFFICER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD2218000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 103 (Volunteer Chapter).
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. The National Guard is the oldest component of the Armed Forces of the United States. This position is located in the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Operations G3/5/7 Directorate. This is an Army National Guard dual status technician position that requires military membership, compatible military skill assignment and classification. The purpose of the position is to assist in the development and the execution of the command's operations, training plans and policies. Provides staff planning and assistance to ensure that required training readiness objectives are achieved and deployment planning and preparation requirements are accomplished.

Major Duties:

As a TRAINING OFFICER, GS-1702-09, you will assist with the evaluation of the overall training programs for the State. Assist with the development of annual operational and training budget requirements. Evaluate organizational readiness reports and prepare recommendations for improvement/modification to organizational training programs. Provide technical guidance and assistance to subordinate units in the development of deployment and redeployment plans for use in responding to local/state/national emergencies, homeland security missions, and anti-terrorism/force protection. Develop Risk Management plans and programs for the command. Perform other duties as assigned.
